Sensory Needs
People who have sensory needs may have an aversion to things that over stimulate their senses such as noise, light or intense smells.
iBC Healthcare embed good autism practice when adapting environments to meet the needs of individuals with sensory impairment. This will include a robust sensory assessment to identify areas of need which need to be considered. Our properties are developed to ensure they create safe and happy environments, whether this be low arousal settings, mood lighting or self-regulation equipment such as swings, trampolines or climbing frames.
Individuals’ homes are equipped with sensory spaces and break out areas to allow safe spaces and allow people to help improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing.
